Paul Taylor Dance Company Sarasota Theatre reviews
Beyond Any Words to Accurately Describe!
One of the best performances I have ever seen was this, if not the best. I have seen just about every band from many genres of music, including rock, country, heavy metal, bluegrass, blues, punk, even classical and big band/swing. I was actually shaking, my heart pounding, during some of his songs. Along with so many of his all-time hits, he did a version of Spanish Harlem that was the best version of that classic song I've ever heard. I imagine it must have been similar to how it was for those lucky enough to have seen Elvis or the Beatles back in those days. The band was super tight and very professional, and his 4 new backing singers had all the moves and never missed a beat. Highlights included December 1963, Who Loves You, Beggin', and at least 15 of the early hits with the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Hopefully, sometime this summer, I can't wait to see him again.
